“Congratulations! You will immediately be recommended for re-certification in transition for 2015 audit,” exclaimed Zyrah Kae Tungol, AJA certifying representative, lauding the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) Management for the successful ISO 9001:2015 re-certification, during the closing meeting held at BCWD Board Room on May 4, 2018.
Before the three-day audit was conducted from May 2 to May 4, 2018, BCWD management and employees strategically prepared the necessary documentations, evidences and processes to be presented to the auditors. A week prior to the scheduled audit had been very challenging for the employees. The preparation for the audit process motivated everyone to achieve positively the desired goal – to better serve the public.
As the auditors discussed in the closing meeting, wrapping up the minor findings, after the audit process, mixed emotions filled out the BCWD Board Room. The BCWD management was then full of gratitude when it was positively announced by the auditors that the BCWD once again was recommended for ISO 9001 certification.
This time, a notch higher certification was once again granted by AJA to BCWD indicating the consistency of providing products and services to meet customer satisfaction. The AJA auditors lauded BCWD management for handling the three-day transition process effectively during the audit proper as well as the speedy handling of documentation and other evidences required by the auditors.
