BCWD and Retired US doctor conduct gift-giving
Butuan City Water District (BCWD) and a retired US doctor of medicine conducted recently a gift-giving activity at Dugyaman Elementary School in Sitio Dugyaman, Anticala, Butuan City.
The children received clothes and snacks.
Dr. Cas Garcia, a Butuanon who practised his profession as a medical doctor in the United States of America, shared his blessings to the less fortunate children of Sitios Dugyaman, Patagon and Tagkiling. He coordinated with BCWD to jointly conduct the activity.
Dugyaman Elementary School is an adopted school of BCWD. BCWD provides three sacks of rice every month to the school to encourage school children in the area to continue their studies as the main reason of increasing number of students dropping out from the school before was hunger.
BCWD also provides 1 sack of rice to Tagkiling Tribal Elementary School.
