PUMP STATION NO. 16 REACTIVATED

Earlier this afternoon, the Butuan City Water District (BCWD) has successfully reactivated another pumping station - Pump Station No. 16. With the reactivation of Pump Station No. 16, the total number of BCWD's groundwater source now increased to seven (7).
Pump Station No. 16 is located at Amamaylan Road, Km. 3 Baan, Butuan City. It has a rated capacity of 150 cubic meters per hour.
Currently, 7 pumping stations are now operating (Pump Station No. 1, Pump Station No. 3, Pump Station No. 5, Pump Station No. 14, Pump Station No. 17 together with the reactivated Pump Station No. 10 and 16), which serve as BCWD's back-up source until such time that the rehabilitation of the Infiltration Gallery shall be completed. In the meantime, the 7 pumping stations are simultaneously being operated together with the temporary by-pass pipeline at the Taguibo River in Sitio Iyao, Barangay Anticala to ensure that there is enough water supply for the majority of BCWD concessionnaires.
