EL NIÑO WATCH: WATER RATIONING SCHEDULE (April 24, 2024; 9:00 AM)

The Butuan City Water District (BCWD) will continue to conduct water rationing due to the emergency water supply reduction of its bulk water supplier – the Taguibo Aquatech Solutions Corporation (TASC ) at its facility in Sitio Iyao, Barangay Anticala due to the enduring hot weather condition and having little to no rain in the area. With the lowering of water supply volume delivered to BCWD, the entire service area will experience low water to no water situation. This situation will continue while the effect of the El Niño phenomenon is still experienced in Butuan City and until such time that the area at Sitio Iyao, Brgy. Anticala will experience rain for a number of days to replenish the water in the Taguibo River.
In the meantime, BCWD will conduct water rationing for April 24, 2024 to those barangays that will have no water supply.
BCWD urges its concessionaires to conserve water. Furthermore, CONCESSIONAIRES ARE ADVISED TO CONTINUE TO STORE WATER DAILY TO MEET BASIC DOMESTIC NEEDS WHEN WATER IS AVAILABLE.
Expect a daily water supply update from BCWD at its official Facebook page while the effect of the El Niño phenomenon is still experienced.
